The rules for using CheckTaJob, a free job search tracker.

The service

CheckTaJob is a free job search tracker: a board of your applications, a watch on the careers pages of the companies you follow, follow-up reminders, and a connector that lets an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client) read and update your tracker for you. It is a personal project run by Mickael Poulhazan.

Your account

You need an account with a valid email address. Keep your password to yourself: what is done from your account, in the app, from the browser extension or by an assistant you connected, is done in your name. One account per person, for your own job search.

Connected assistants

When you connect an assistant, you allow it to call the CheckTaJob tools listed on the connector page during your conversations: it can add jobs, change their stage, log events, save documents and follow companies. The assistant decides when to call them from what you ask; check what it records, and what it writes for you (CVs, cover letters, messages), before you rely on it or send it. You can disconnect it at any time from its settings.

Acceptable use

Do not use CheckTaJob to break the law, to store content you have no right to, to overload or probe the service, or to collect data in bulk through the connector, the API or the extension. Accounts that do may be suspended.

Job postings and company data

New postings and ghost job signals come from the public careers pages of the companies (via Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby) and are indicative only: a posting may be outdated, and a ghost job flag is an estimate, not a fact about the employer.

Your content

What you put in CheckTaJob stays yours. We use it only to run the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export it or delete it at any time from Settings.

Availability and liability

The service is free and provided as is, without guarantee of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, with daily backups, but to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect losses, a missed opportunity or a lost application.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or stop the service with at least 30 days' notice by email so you can get a copy of your data.

Changes

We may update these terms; a significant change will be announced by email or in the app before it applies.
