## What it does

- **Fresh job search**: the postings of the last 30 days at more than 250 tech companies, taken straight from their careers pages (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) and checked every 2 hours, searched by job title, place, remote and skills, newest or best match first. Not an aggregator: fewer jobs than Indeed or LinkedIn, but fresh and real.
- **Application tracker**: every application in one place, with its stage (to apply, applied, interview, offer, rejected), history of each exchange, follow-up reminders, and a delay before reapplying to the same company. List and board views, CSV and PDF export.
- **Company watchlist**: follow companies that hire through Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby (most tech startups and scale-ups). Their careers pages are checked several times a day and new postings arrive in a daily email, straight from the source instead of job aggregators.

CheckTaJob is a remote MCP server with OAuth. Connector URL: https://api.checktajob.com/mcp

- Claude: open https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/checktajob (official connector directory) → Connect → click "Allow" on the CheckTaJob page. Manual fallback: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL.
- ChatGPT: CheckTaJob is published in ChatGPT's plugins (Settings → Plugins, search CheckTaJob) → Connect → "Allow".

Once connected, the assistant can search fresh tech jobs by title, place, remote and skills, list, add and update applications, log events (interview, follow-up, rejection), save tailored CVs and cover letters on a job, and follow or unfollow companies and read their new postings.
